 irst Saturday evening of Fiesta. With the Shrine of Texas history as a back
 drop, the new ruler of merriment is administered the oath of office and “cr
 owned” with the plumed hat of King Antonio by his immediate predecessor.<br
  /><br />Wearing his cape, saber and the official headgear, the new King An
 tonio is ceremoniously welcomed by the Mayor and given the key to the city.
  King Antonio responds by paying homage to the Alamo’s defenders and formal
 ly accepting the reins for the Fiesta Week’s activities.
