 a at Mission Marquee Plaza.\n\nThis year’s theme, “Ónce Pon a Time at the M
 ission Marquee Plaza,” celebrates 11 years of storytelling with highlights 
 from past performances. As San Antonio’s official kickoff to National Poetr
 y Month, the event will feature past Poets Laureate Carmen Tafolla, Laurie 
 Ann Guerrero, Octavio Quintanilla, and Andrea “Vocab” Sanderson, along with
  a stellar lineup of literary and musical artists.\nThe evening will includ
 e performances by the new BX3 San Antonio Poetry Slam Team, Amalia Ortiz, T
 omas Castillo-Roque, Natalia Treviño, Jessica Tilton Zertuche, and San Anto
 nio Poet Laureate Eddie Vega, with Anthony The Poet as emcee. Live music wi
 ll be provided by Los De Esta Noche, Juan & Armando Tejeda, violinist Laure
 n Logan, cellist Luke William Bonecutter, and DJ Caliente. Joyous Windrider
  and Nate Zen will lead community writing workshops, while local artists ho
 st interactive activities for all ages.\nAdditional highlights include a FR
 EE Tree adoption of 500 shade, ornamental, and fruit trees courtesy of San 
 Antonio Parks and Recreation, plus local vendors, food, and drinks availabl
