City of Fredericksburg - 4th of July Parades and Fireworks

Enjoy an All-American small-town celebration in Fredericksburg each Fourth of July.

8:30 AM: Children and patriotism will come together for the annual July 4 children's parade, sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7105. All children age 12 and under can participate in the parade in an annual display of patriotism. Children are allowed to bring small pets and decorated bicycles, tricycles, wagons, or scooters. No sign-up is required for those wanting to participate.

10:00 AM-12:30 PM Enjoy the Fredericksburg Fourth of July Parade down Main Street featuring nearly 100 floats decked out in their patriotic best, followed by a weekend of Patriotic fun. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or park a vehicle along the route to enjoy the parade. Following the Main Street Parade, join us at Marktplatz for a Patriotic Program and Concert by Bill Smallwood.

9:30 PM The City of Fredericksburg hosts this fireworks show at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park to celebrate our country’s independence. Multiple viewing areas are available inside the park and at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs for seating, eats and drinks.
