Did you know, before Phil Hardberger Park became a Natural Area, it had a rich history in agriculture as a dairy farm?!! That’s right, join us for a morning out at the Historic Voelcker Homestead to learn more about the agricultural and natural history of the park!
Southwest Dairy Farmers will present a live milking demonstration to teach us the modern milking process and the importance of dairy foods! We'll also have a farm animal petting zoo and a local beekeeper! Additionally the Homestead Gardens will be open for tours. Take the time to tour the Butterfly Learning Center with our Alamo Area Master Naturalists and our Children's Vegetable Garden with the Bexar County Master Gardeners. Games, activities, and crafts will be available for the entire family.
