City Nature Challenge Kickoff Party at Phil Hardberger Park

Join us for an exciting kickoff party to celebrate the start of this year's City Nature Challenge! This event is open to the public and perfect for nature lovers of all experience levels.
We’ll kick off the evening with inspiring talks about how iNaturalist makes exploring nature exciting and how your observations can help protect San Antonio’s amazing wildlife. Then, we’ll dive right in with a fun, hands-on demo of iNaturalist before heading out on a guided nature walk to start making observations together for the City Nature Challenge.
As the sun sets, the fun continues with a black light event, where we’ll observe fascinating nocturnal creatures like moths and other nighttime wildlife.
No experience is necessary—our team will provide all the training you need! We encourage you to bring your friends and family for an evening of discovery and fun.
