About US
Owners Donna and Duane Wells took ownership of The Cracked Mug in April of 2016. And since then their little slice of Helotes Heaven has acquired a cult following of friends who feel like family, families who make new friends, and people from all walks of life who just enjoy a great cup of coffee.
All of our baked goods are made in house with fan favorite muffins like apple bacon, vegan spiced chai and pumpkin cheese cake. And no breakfast taco is complete without Donna’s famous homemade salsa.
Our coffee comes from local specialty coffee roasters Minutiae Coffee. All coffees are specialty grade and roasted to perfection. Our house and espresso blend coffees were developed specifically for our menu and are available for purchase at the shop.
We invite you to pick your favorite mug off the wall, pull up a chair and sit a spell with us here at “The Mug.” We can’t wait to see you, and you can rest assured we’ll always keep a fresh pot ready.
In 2022, the Cracked Mug teamed with Minutiae Coffee Roasters, a local specialty coffee roaster, to bring fresh roasted coffee to the Cracked Mug community. As specialty roasters, Minutiae Coffee focuses on bringing out the natural flavors in coffee that are unique to the regions they come from. Each batch of coffee is a distinct expression of bean origin and culture.
Our roasters have developed two special blends just for the Cracked Mug: Get Crackin’ House Blend and Mugshot Espresso Blend. Both coffees can be purchased in retail bags at the shop along with other popular single origin coffees such as Mexico, Ethiopia, and Brazil.
