​Karen's passion for event planning began at the young age of fourteen years old. At this time she started dressing up as various characters in her hometown located in the Rio Grande Valley. She went from being inside Mickey Mouse's costume and worked her way up to hosting her own parties while playing games with children.
As soon as Karen graduated from highschool and received her Associate's Degree, she moved to San Antonio and studied at The University of Texas at San Antonio but her love for party planning did not stop there. Karen was hired as a princess with Teacups and Tiaras on 2017 and in no time, she became San Antonio's favorite Princess Moana... as well as Christina's daughter-in-law!
Karen met her husband while working for Teacups and Tiaras and now has two children. Under the circumstances of Christina's passing, Karen is now taking ownership of the company and continues to provide families with the smiles, fun and magic that Teacups and Tiaras has always provided.

Teacups and tiaras did a wonderful job in creating a “Bippity Boppity “ like experience for my daughter and her friends . We had over 20 girls, they did an amazing job ! They did several different types of hairdos , makeup and nail polish for the girls , the girls were over the moon ! The staff was punctual , professional and very polite. The girls loved each and every moment of it. Highly recommended
We are a Disney family, so having a princess at our daughter’s 2nd birthday party, which we affectionately called her Bibbity Bobbity Two, was a no-brainer! We could not have been happier with the Cinderella who showed up. She was on time, dressed and ready to go and stayed in character the ENTIRE time. The kids loved her and so did the kids at heart. We truly appreciate the professionalism and just how great the interactions with everyone were. Teacups and Tiaras is most definitely a company that we will use in the future and recommend with no reservations to anyone! Thank you for the great experience!

Beautiful and colorful decorations from start to finish. We requested Rapunzal and Elsa to attend her Princess Tea Party. Princesses are very kind, patient and friendly. Total amount of time seemed endless. MakeUp, Tiara decorating, dancing, Royal Tea party were phenomenal. Karen is very friendly, down to earth and understanding. Karen will go above and beyond in accommodating every princess and prince. Thank you for being part of our family when celebrating important milestones!
