Dog Park
Completed in April 2021, the new one-acre dog park includes fenced sections for all dogs and small dogs, drinking fountain with a pet fountain, and mutt mitt dispensers. Additional park amenities include new picnic tables and seating, landscaping, a Portland Loo restroom, and trash and recycle bins.
Maverick Park enhancements were funded by the voter-approved 2017 Bond Program and community donations raised with support from the San Antonio Parks Foundation and the Friends of Maverick Dog Park.
