Burnet County Heritage Society at a Glance
Our vision- Connecting the past with the present and the future
The Burnet County Heritage Society is the caretaker of Fort Croghan, an early United States military fort from 1849-1852 that protected the pioneers on the frontier. Our mission is to preserve and promote Burnet County history. We host living history days including Fort Croghan Day in October and Christmas at Fort Croghan in December.
Admission is FREE
