Library Freedom of Expression Policy

History

Through adaptive reuse of an existing building, the library created a branch that provides community responsive services; a robust collection of books and materials; and integrated technology.

Drive-Thru

A first of its kind in the library system, the drive through window allows busy families, commuters or the mobility impaired to reserve their materials on-line and then conveniently pick up those items without leaving their vehicles. The library is prioritizing convenience and facilitating the use of the library by allowing library visitors to pick up holds and drop off materials, without ever leaving their car!

Digital Meeting Room

The digital meeting room has been branded as Collaborate, and fosters convenient and technologically supported collaborative work, information sharing and group information creation.

Children’s, Teens, and Adult Spaces

As a passive space the visitor is invited to bring his own devices or material and interact with information either on the shelf, through the library’s website and WiFi access, or on the wall.

As an active space the library hosts events like poetry readings, music performances, informational presentations, government interaction and instructional demonstrations. It is also open to small group clustering and collaborations.
